It's that time: Trash Talk, where I talk about my trash (mostly recyclables) and get that out! to! the! recycling! bin!!!!!!! I'm a bit late on the write-up but these products have been emptied throughout the month of May, including some sheet mask empties (plus a few expired!).

First, I want to say, this will be one of the last time I photograph with this blue as my base and I will keep to pastels or white for product shots on the blog. I live in the PNW where summer is the only real natural light, so I'm left to rely on natural light--it sucks! Plus, I shoot with my phone and it's really starting to wear out; there's something about my phone camera and both blue and yellow--the camera won't focus and seems to see multiple shades of that colour at once, so all photo never completely match!

Anyway, May was all about body wash! I finished up not one, but THREE body washes!  First was Biore U's Peach Body Wash. I've bought several refills and used this same bottle, but I thought it was time to move on and buy a new bottle. While it's sometimes hard to source for a decent price, the best part is that while it smells so sweet (not overpowering), the body wash is low pH and leaves my skin super soft without damaging the moisture barrier on my skin! My plan is to a) reorder my fave Biore U peach body wash, b) find other non-scented body washes and c) stop caving in and buying Suave lol

Next was DHC's Mild Body Wash. Mild, yes, as it was a low pH body wash. but it smelled nasty so WNRP. I don't want to spend too much time talking about it but basically, I had mid to higher expectations for this body wash but the botanical scent just made each use unbearable. I'm not sensitive to scents as a whole, but I am for those that I dislike (hehehe). To use it up, I lathered it on my legs in the shower or washed my feet. WNRP.

I was a good girl and emptied an entire jar of Laneige's Water Sleeping Mask this month! Not surprising, but I have two more jars in my stash--this took a while to get through.

If I'm desperate for a cleansing product or on the go, I will buy some cleansing wipes. I've sworn off these, to make sure I'm cleansing properly but with the gross weather the fast few months (summer came early; spring never happened--I picked up some of Simple's Micellar Cleansing Wipes. I tried out the "sensitive" type this time around, and honestly, meh. They're ok for travel or during those depression weeks when you don't have the mental power to even shower, let alone take care of yourself. #realtalk

See what I mean with photographing with a blue background?! Anyway, Urban Dollkiss/Baviphat has some surprisingly good, affordable, albeit hard-to-find products. While it's been in my stash for a little while, this hand cream has unusually runny and long lasting. Like most, the cream leaves my soft after use, even after hand washing. Sadly, it's a little hard to source; I have an unopened container but I likely won't RP unless I spot it somewhere, at a decently low price.

Ah, the best part of the empties! In past, I would usually separate mask empties into another post, but seeing as my lazy perfectionism coupled with lack of energy keeps me from frequent posting, no more! I'm going to post them as part of my monthly empties.

This month was growing increasingly warm, which meant warm day but cooler nights. I went through a few masks, as you can see. I also went through my entire sheet mask stash and pulled out ones that are close to expiry, and set aside a few expired masks which are at the bottom of this post.

  • tony moly i'm real cherry blossom - the Cherry Blossom "flavour" was ok, a bit perfumed but not as exciting as other flavours. I'm beginning to see the need for near or fully unscented
  • tony moly i'm real makgeolli - a classic, for me. I've used this mask a good twenty times now, and I still love it. There's something cooling about the essence on my skin and I always
  • holika holika pure essence mask strawberry x2 - while side-eyeing the limited Sweet Peko release of this mask (it's too overpriced), I loved this mask and easily how plump it left my skin. I bought these at my local Forever21 store on a whim, but next time, I'll by off of RRS on eBay (if they're in stock again lol).
  • dewytree glacial water hydrating mask x2 - I'm struggling to use these masks up. I bought them from my local TJ Maxx in a box of eight, but the perfumed scent is throwing me off so bad that I'm considering gifting these to the cutie.

  • puresmile choosy lip pack pink pearl - I have mixed thought about the effectiveness of lip packs; they're gimmicks but they work?! So, I'd better just shut my pie hole and put on a lip pack. These are hard if you breathe in any way shape or form through your mouth, but are pleasant when sitting upright, and say...watching videos. Also ideal for double or triple masking! RP, but in different types.
  • my scheming deep ocean long name mask - this was nearing expiry and I was surpsired to find it in my stash. My thoughts are still the same: hydrating and would RP if I'm down south, and happen to find these on sale at a Asian market.
  • soo ae collagen masks x2 - I bought these sometime last year, picked them up from my local Walmart on clearance for .50--a bargain! This brand seems a little underrated in the blogging world, but honestly, I saw some results with these bad boys! I just wish I could source these easier now....
  • innisfree blackberry - I'm gonna be that person and say that Innisfree feels like a hit or miss, for me. Some products are lovely (the Watery Blueberry Sunscreen!!!!!) and other are not. The main negative for me, is the perfumed scent that lean to the herbal side. I saw softer skin after using this mask and I know how wildly popular these masks are online, but, eh.....

purederm dark circle reducer eye patches - I could have sworn I had finished these, but no! These eye patches do work well but I just want to use them up and try a different brand of patches...

nohj superfood masks via 08.L USA - I received a full box of these masks last year for review purposes and forgot that I had a couple left. While decluttering on my mind, I'm on a roll for #projectpan, which for me, includes sheet masks! My thoughts are still the same: leaves the skin soft and plump, but is a little hard to source for a decent price!

Here are a few expired sheet masks:
