I'm no licensed MUA; I only dabble in makeup casually as a means to cover up my rosacea, in some wild attempt to look even-toned. Even though my skill level is still rising, I'm no where near where I want/aspire to be. I also consider makeup to be art.

Hello! I previously did a very in-depth review of A'pieu's Air Fit Cushion, in the Pposong type. I enjoyed the cushion for the most part but wanted to try the Bboyan version at least once, just to see how the finish would be for my pale skin, and how the two may contrast. Hello all! Recently, when I saw that Tony Moly was releasing the first round of new masks (Rose and Cactus) on their USA account, via Instagram stories, I was poised, ready to try them. As always, my local ULTA was slow was asses and only got them much after the fact. I suspect this may the same for the other newer masks (that tea one, charcoal, honey, peach, etc), that are seemingly currently a macys.com only "exclusive" or from Tony Moly USA's website.
By sheer luck, I spotted a couple of the Rose masks (no cactus....) and bought one for $3.75. A bit pricey.....but that means it's time for a review!

I've been high key lustingover this mini quad palette since its release late last 2016, but the prices were steadily hovering around $12 to $16 on eBay. I scored recently as I noticed some sellers that I usually order from had lowered the prices--I bought this for around $8, which is much, much closer to Korean prices!
This is the cutest palette in my collection, hands down.
I posted on my Instagram yesterday about trying out DHC's ever popular medicated lip cream. Luckily, I found a Japan-based seller on eBay, one who wasn't overpriced. I paid at around the $8 mark, so I was super pleased (these are hard to find under $10 online, usually found around $13 or higher) to try this out, finally!
Basically, I wanted two things to come: to find a lip balm type of product to properly hydrate my lips for a longer duration of time (without getting that gross feeling) and of course, to see the hype for myself, so here we are.
Sake powerhouse Kikumasamune has been in the brewing business since its founding in 1659, with a long-standing dedication to their trade. The brand also have been the lead sake maker in Japan for some 350 years, up until 2009. Generally, Kikumasamune typically only uses water and kome-koji (malted rice) as main ingredients to help achieve the classic signature smooth, dry taste. Taking this approach from the brand's sake brewing to it's recently foray into cosmetics in the past decade or so, Kikumasamune takes the fermented goodness in its sake and happy lets you drink (!!!) the benefits, on your face.
Containing actualKikumasamune branded fermented sake, this line of hydrating skin care lotion is definitely one to consider incorporating into a skincare routine--don't drink this, of course!. The hydrating toner provides moisture to the skin, fresh after cleansing, while helping to create a canvas.
This review has been a long time coming: I recently bought the normal Kikumasamune version and have been using it enough that I can accurately compare this to the "high moist" version, in the pink bottle. Also, it's taken me a good year and a half to get through my first and only bottle of the high moist--bear with me!
Also, since many have complained to various levels about the lack of English translations of the bottle and ingredients, I'm here to give extra presents.

After hoarding my Sephora BI points for ages, I finally spent some points on the curated box back at the end of 2017. The box contains four sample sized items and is my first try at Amore Pacific products--my thoughts are that of complete n00b.
I've now had this box for about a little while, and have been using the products off and on, as a foray into Amore Pacific's
products. Now, I can give accurate, well-rounded opinions, beyond
"Yeah, s'alright"or "meh", which would be: it's just, ok. I enjoyed the
box but across the board, it's not for me.
I recently hit major pan on my current favourite pact, so I figured it would the best time to review Skinfood's Peach Sake Pore Pact. 🍑🍑🍑
In my experience, Skinfood makes affordable, cute products but the key is that they work! I know it is a deal breaker for some, but the use of Comic Sans font cracks me up! Somehow, it works with their kitsch aesthetic, so I'm all for it. Among the plethora of food-related products is Skinfood's Peach Sake line, a skincare line with makeup items as well. I have the toner and the other Silky Powder and have previously had the serum--all seem to work as intended.
I took the plunge! I ordered the ever-so popular, Isehan Heroine Make Long & Curl Super Waterproof Mascarafrom Amazon on Feb 6th, from seller 100 WAYS Ship from Japan. It arrived just the other day, along with two bottles of Gokujun lotion that I repurchase (I'm so excited!!!)
I tried out the mascara, in the shade 01 Jet Black for the first time this morning and thought I'd whip up a first impressions review with some swatches + demo, and a slight comparison to another mascara that I've been using.
Got my cup of tea and some jamsprimed as I write this--I'm ready!
I picked these up recently from a short trip at ULTA, back on Valentine's Day. At the time, I had a $5 off of $10 coupon to use and initially, I didn't find anything exciting. I spotted three of these bad bpys, sitting in the clearance section, for $2.75 ea. I bought those three, plus another item, so after my coupon (plus some redeemed points), the masks were .97 ea.!!!!

I love hand creams. I adore cute things. Unn, cute hand creams!
Jokes aside, I really enjoy hand creams, way more than I had before. I now work in dairy and spend a lot of my time at work in the cooler, as well as handling plastic and cardboard when stocking. The result: sore, dry hands with many, many cuts. I do wear gloves but there are time when I need to be sans gloves so I can actually feel what I'm holding in my hands.
The in-between is to slather lotion on and wear slightly thinner cotton-ish gloves or thin, latex gloves and let the sweat moisturize my hands (gross!) until I wash them each time I go to the bathroom and each time I'm in the breakroom. The soap at work also dries out my hands as does the hot water. Basically, retails sucks ass and I would give anything for a new job (but there aren't any here beside government or healthcare, so here I am!)....just even for the sake of my hands.
;tldr: my hands are really dry and are in a bad state! They hurt so much!
