REVIEW: Pure Smile CHOOSY Lip Pack - Honey (contains aff links) //
11:19 PMHello!!!!! I figured it was time to finally do a review of Pure Smile's popular CHOOSY Lip Patches. I have a couple in my stash, but this quick review will be about the honey "flavour".

As always, first, here's a nice, chill jam:

Pure Smile CHOOSY Lip Patches (or packs?) have made a strong impression on me. Even though I've read about them countless times, I had written them off as something a little too expensive to include in any of my online mini-hauls (due to lack of an ease of availability), unlike the myriad of Korean masks and patches available, and didn't really see myself needing to incorporate any such thing in my routine. The PNW winter has been longer (harsher) and gloomier than expected, so my lips have been extra dry, even fart taking extra steps to put on a lip treatment or reapplying lip balm.
After the fun and excitement with excessive shipping charges from a Rakuten seller a couple of months ago, I had let these patches sit in my stash for a little while, unnecessarily. In retrospect, this was not a good idea, because I'd been sitting on a gold mine!
The honey "flavour" contains royal jelly, vitamin E, collagen and hyaluronic acid to help give the lips one hell of a blast of hydration and moisture! After cleansing your face, place the hydrogel patch over the lips and leave on for 5 to 20 mins.
According to the back of the packet, you can also use CHOOSY lip patches on your boobs. Good to know!

petrolatum, sucrose, beeswax, vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil, simmondsia chinesis (jojoba) seed oil, macadamia ternifolia seed oil, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), tocopheryl acetate, xylose, maltodextrin, phenoxyethanol, iron oxides, talc, triethoxycaprylylsilane, eutherpe oleracea fruit oil, chamomile recuitita (matricaria) flower extract, milk protein extract, fragrance.
notable goodies:
- beeswax
- vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil
- simmondsia chinesis (jojoba) seed oil
- macadamia ternifolia seed oil
- butyrospermum parkii (shea butter)
- eutherpe oleracea fruit oil
- chamomile recuitita (matricaria) flower extract
On the first try, I placed it upside-down but it doesn't matter which direction you place it over your lips. I left the patch on my lips for about 15 mins--the recommended is 5 to 20mins.
Afterwards, my lips were noticeably softer and surprisingly, I felt the effect last for the rest of the day. Simple as that.
Is it a gimmick? More or less, yes, but it's one that seems to work, at least with temporary results.
where to buy
Pure Smile CHOOSY lip packs are relatively easy to find online, but they seem relatively cheaper on a website that will charge in yen, unlike Amazon or local Asian grocery stores that may charge up to 3.99 ea.!
A seller on Amazon Japan is offering a set of 10, currently on sale for 930 yen--this is really cheap.
- amazon (prime) - $8.75 for a set of 5
- imomoko - $1.50 ea.
- yamibuy - $1.80 ea.
- eBay - ~$3.99
Thanks for reading! Goodnight~♡♡
