Hello, all!  I've been in a cleaning mode lately and have been organising my clothes, makeup and...basically everything.

I've discovered that I've actually been using up more products than I had realised, so it's time for an AB edition of "trash talk": where I talk about my empties, do a quick review and then can throw out my trash. Enjoy!!

I've been spending some well-needed time dedicating myself to cleaning out, organising and using a number of my makeup and skincare products. I've also spent time rearranging how I'm displaying products on my desk (a makeshift vanity, for now), and I've also discovered a number of products that I've disliked.

I've set these products in a Sephora bag (or like....three...shh....), kept them near my deak upstairs, and now it's time to talk about them so I can throw out my trash! I thought I'd start a series of posts that detail my disgust and dislike of products I'm avoiding using, or plain dislike, and why.

Here are a few lip products that just honestly, are not my cup of tea.

I was up at the Tacoma Mall the other day, and picked up some stuff.

It's a showdown! Last summer, I saw a similar version of the famous It's Skin macaron lip balm at my local Forever21.  I decided to buy the F21 version because while it doesn't help raise awareness for buying the actual original lip balm, I wanted to compare the two.

What baffles me is how Forever21--a company founded by South Koreans--and one that now sells legitimate Korean cosmetics (Peripera, Holika Holika, etc) on its online storefront; how are they able to get away with selling an inferior product, despite cute packaging? Hand creams with packaging seemingly "inspired" by Baviphat and Etude House products, but the colours are just ever. so. slightly. altered? Why not stock the original products instead? /end rant/

That aside, I feel like there's some subtle differences between both products. Which brings me to this review: a simple, yet detailed comparison review between both products.

そんなことより両のマカロンリップバームってわずか違いがあると思います。つまり、両の商品のはシンプルな詳しく比較のレビュを紹介していきたいと思います。

Around October....? last year, Memebox announced one of its new boxes (at the time): The Yeon box. I had seen only the other variants of Hallabong cream packs on TesterKorea and had a good idea of the pricing for the brand--it's kind of on the expensive side.

I also hadn't heard about hallabong fruit but kind of understood that it is likely within the citrus fruit family, and proceeded to do a bit of research. I discovered that it's a sweeter type of mandarin orange, much like the dekopon variety, in Japan. It's most recognisable characteristic is the extra protruding bump on the top of the orange, and is one of Jeju Island's delicacies. Ah, Jeju~~~

And so, I grew interested. I did some further review-hunting online to see if other users had written about any of these itesm in the box, or any reviews of The Yeon products in general.  Nada. There wasn't much at all. So, I decided to take the plunge and just order from Memebox anyway.

I made the mistake of ordering from TK, around the Thanksgiving/Black Friday period, but I don't regret it.

My order went through relatively quickly, but it felt like AGES until I received it.  I ordered November 22nd; the order shipped on November 29th and I just welcomed my beauty-ful box of goodies into my arms, mid-morning on Jan 4th.

2015 is quickly coming to a close, and I thought I'd wrap up with a quick post about some favourite AB products that I enjoyed this year.  I got into AB more earlier this year, but focused mostly on skincare and easing some skin issues I have during the summertime, particularly redness and dry, dehydrated skin.

These aren't necessarily products released in 2015, but here are some products I enjoyed this year, and have had a significant positive result on me:

mizon snail recovery gel

I'm almost done with my first tube but I can say, I notice the difference when I'm not using the beloved snail goop on my face.  I know a lot of others say (or shout in caps) how big of a difference there is, but I truly believe it! There is a distinct missing layer of softness that I'm lacking--since I"m almost to the end of my tube, I haven't included Mizon's Snail Recovery Gel in my current routine... :( But I have enjoyed how soft my skin feels and the minor amount my redness on my cheeks drops after usage--guess it's time to reorder another tube soon (or three).

Hello, all!! I've been on a slight hunt in the last week or so, trying to find Physican's Formula Mineral Wear Cushion as seen on Instagram and blogs in the past few days. I wanted to find the cushion in the lightest shade and to try the feel of a cushion before purchasing a more..AB cushion.

The ladies at my local ULTA hadn't notcied that it would be coming in yet. Folks at Target looked at me strangely--they seem to only have the regular Physican's Formula line, with no LE or newer releases. I hit up my nearest Fred Meyer, since they also have a fairly well-stocked makeup area: no luck. On a chance, I went to another Fred Meyer store across town--one that usually has the newest seasonal lines out on time--and I happened to see these displays on an end cap. Score!


I ended up picking up two, in the light shade (light 6656). I'm hoping these will work for the time being.
