It's recycling week and my Sephora bag of empties have generously filled up, so it's time for Trash Talk, where I talk briefly about my recent empties from the past couple of months!
For full disclosure, three products in this post I previously received from 08.L USA for review purposes; I have already completed the reviews and just continued usage--those products will be marked with an asterisk (*). I will also include some Western products and some empties of samples.

Four Creams That Have An Unusual Texture (Etude House, Freeset, Purifect by Symphony Beauty, Vant 36.5)
12:35 AM
Yo! Here are four products that have unusual or notable textures. I thought each cream would be fun to review by group them together by texture, as a key point. One cream I received for free from 0.8L USA, in exchange for an honest review and another I won in a giveaway on Instagram (but am not
obligated to review). Both are and will be marked
below and in the post with an asterisk (*).
- vant 36.5 advanced moisture cream (*)
- freeset donkey milk 3d moisture cream
- purifect by symphony beauty snow cream moisturizer (*)

While taking a break from the bombardment of various news pieces related to our new """"leader"""" of the country, I was finally putting together a very late post for my December 2016 favourites and realized the items are the same for this month!
Honestly, time got the best of me, with the holidays and setting into a new position at work--I was tired. Enjoy my favourites for both months!
tv
I want to start with Goblin--one of the only two shows I've been into lately! I am a different person after finishing this particular K-drama, just last week. I was so emotionally drained but still in awe; the ending was so fulfilling, in that every single character had an ending and all loose ends were tied. They did have a time skip but the way the story unfolded at the end was so unexpected. I have also never cried so much (besides a breakdown at work!!) at a show.
Equally as exciting: the OST. The fine selection of artists (Punch/Baekhyun, Crush, 10cm, Ailee, Mamamoo & more) invokes such emotion! Every time this song by was played, it was like time stopped and you could barely breathe:
I also really enjoy Hush by 라쎄 린드(Lasse Lindh):
On a related note, Lee Doog Wook's lips are so stunning, especially his upper lip! And so is Yoo In Na's lips; the shape is so cute and I kept wondering what lip products she was wearing...!
In December, Yuri! on Ice!!! had me shook towards the end. But I am relieved, as there will be a second season, despite the slight open-ended finale. I want to know what will happen and I am proud that the writers portrayed Viktor and Yuri as normal, loving characters, without sexualizing their relationship. I'm even interested for anything may develop between Yurio and Otabek!

makeup & skincare
I've done a full review on this cushion in a separate post but I have really been using Holika Holika Gudetama Lazy & Joy Photo Ready BB Cushion, nearly daily--basically since I received this bad boy in the mail. I have found that I am running through the foundation quicker than expected--I may have to repurchase surprisingly very soon.
Also another daily staple for the last two months, Etude House's Precious Mineral BB Cream (Cover & Bright) has been a go-to BB cream for my face. I have also been layering this on top of the HH Lazy & Joy Cushion, to help give a fuller coverage look.

For the past two-ish months, I have used a number of different skincare products but I have definitely been reaching for Etude House's Moistfull Collagen Water Jelly Cream. I love how it's a water based gel cream that is light and isn't sticky, but makes my face soft while providing some hydration.
I am working on a full, in-depth review on this, so stay tuned.
Excuse the short post, but that's all I've basically been loving this month and in December.
Goodnight!

It's that period of time where I gather my mask empties and talk about my trash! Here's some of the masks I've used recently, including a good amount from during the November mask challenge, over on Instagram. I've used a variety of brands, flavors and from a couple different countries!
There are a few that were received in exchange for an honest review so those will be marked in bold and an asterisk (*). For the masks that I had talk about on IG, I'll include those posts (in no particular order) plus some quick thoughts, under the cut!

Review: Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Cover Bright Fit - Light Beige N02 (First Impressions, Swatch + Demo)
12:04 PM
Hello all!! I'm going to be going a fairly length review of the Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream (Cover & Bright Fit) as I've been testing the BB cream for about two weeks, and have been seeing pretty good results. I thought I'd share the results through the pics I took, for dry/dehydrated and rosacea prone skin.

I recently shared on my Instagram of my latest eBay haul, including the Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream (Cover & Bright Fit), as seen below. I've been testing the BB cream for over a week now and I have to say, I like it a lot. I do want to try the cushion version too, just to see how it compares in a cushion format to the BB cream version.

Etude House's Precious Mineral BB cream is fairly affordable at about $8 to $12, depending on from where you purchase. I purchased with my own money, via eBay seller rinishop and paid USD$8.04 at the time, ordering on November 26th. The item arrived on around Dec 12th or so (I forget), and was wrapped snugly in bubblewrap + samples.
I had to do some research and much cross reverencing between some YouTube videos, other bbloggers' reviews and sellers' listings to make sure I had chosen the right finish. Without a doubt, the differences between "blooming", "cotton", "perfect" etc, still mildly confuse me.
This review is of N02 Light Beige, in the "cover & bright fit, which I do hope it to have coverage and to brighten. The product comes in an easy to squeeze tube with a large screw cap, much like standard of other competing brands' BB creams.

Here's a quick picture of the BB cream, swatched on my hand below (left) and blended out (right). The BB cream is creamy, easy to blend and almost milky. You can feel some moisture in the cream too, since it isn't the the "cotton fit" (matte) but the cover bright fit. It does look darker at first glance but once blended out, it seems brighter. The BB cream dries as a semi-matte, almost satin-y finish. It also does seem to highlight the dryness and the cracks on my hand...💦💦
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
expectations & hopes
- to help cover some redness
- to not oxidize
- not appear cake-y later on
- not be too matte
day 1
Here is my bare face, but freshly washed before I get ready for work. I applied a thin layer of toner and patted it in. I did not apply primer. You can see my redness in full swing! (Excuse the RBF...)
While most BB cream users apply with the fingers and hands, I initially opted for a flat foundation brush to spread the product onto my face. I used a cheap ol' one from e.l.f.. Using my fingers just irks me to no end.
The BB cream has a light scent: it's faintly sweet but not floral. It's like candy but no means overpowering. It's just enough to feel cuter.
I then grabbed a damp beauty blender, to spread the BB cream across my face more evenly than the brush would, and bounced the sponge on my face to help give it a smoother texture at the end.
All patted in (except for my nose)! The coverage is mild but very buildable and so far, doesn't seem to stick to my dry patches and make them stand out even more. The BB cream's texture is creamy, not sticky but also thin, so it's easy to spread across the skin.
My face about 20mins later (below), just before changing and heading out the door, to go to work.
The BB cream has settled a little but I had applied a setting powder and some concealer on my under eyes (which already started to crease!!! yikes...!). If you are oilier, then stay with a setting powder, otherwise use a dewy setting spray for a smoother finish!
Here is my lovely face about 8hrs later, at the end of the work day. I had already started to remove some of my face makeup (left) using Kose's softymo but quickly remembered to snap a photo! The BB cream wore alright throughout the day but faded around my chin--basically where I had applied a setting powder.
The BB cream melted away cleanly with softymo! I followed up with CosRX Low pH cleanser and my face was lookin' fine af.

day 3
I forgot to take pics for the second day, but here I am on day three of testing this bad boy and I documented the process far better! It's like 6:30am or so, and I was tired!!
For this testing period, I did a minimal skincare routine and allowed time for it to dry. I also applied a thin layer of Too Faced HangoveRx Primer (non-silicone based hydrating primer) and allowed it to dry as well. Focusing on my cheeks and the centre of my face this time, I applied a slightly larger amount of the BB cream to my face and used only the sponge to smooth it across my face. As the photos show, the Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream does cover my redness very well.

I did extend some extra BB cream onto my lips (by accident) so cue those ghost #looks ! Ideally, this would even be a good base for even a sheer foundation to layer on top. I definitely see a difference of using a primer underneath, especially one that is not silicone-based.
I also skipped concealer and powder, and went for a setting spray instead.

Final look, after applying the rest of my face (below). Gosh, I'm so tired! Hwaiting!! But good luck aside, the BB cream is my saviour.
Seriously.
I haven't used a BB cream that conceals my redness well enough and makes me a believable shade of white without, y'know....looking like a ghost, stuck in Halloween from 1903, or a tanned ganguro goddess from the late 90s, post-oxidization.

I did not get great photos of myself later in the day, BUT I did sweat a bit. I did not notice any piling, flaking or especially any oxidization. I did only see some caking after being a towrk for a while, on the day that I had applied powder. I think that skipped powder may give better results.
I'm impressed!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- concealed redness like a champ
- did not oxidize!!!!
- did not cake
- minimal flaking or piling
- pleasant scent
- affordable
- cute 2 boot
final verdict
Buy it. If you are pale (for specifically this shade) or up to around a olive skin tone (for the other available shades) then I recommend the "cover right fit", especially if you have redness to conceal and do not want to invest in a thick, high pigment foundations and a long routine at this time. If you have a good, clear complexion but just want to brighten, this is for you, too.
I will look to purchase the cushion version of this BB cream fairly soon, to see how they compare. I am super curious!
Thanks for reading~! Merry Christmas!

Hello all!
Obvious click-bait title aside, I was digging through my stash the other day, in preparation for my contributions to the upcoming IG #novembermaskchallenge, hosted by @nourishtheskin and @woodnote_song. I had grouped together most of my remaining eye gel patches for a separate review, but I saw both a TFS gel patch for the lips and a very cute Etude House cheek patch hiding in the corner of my sheet mask storage container.
Enjoy a short, first impressions review of both The Face Shop Cherry Cherry Lips Modeling Gel Patch and Etude House's Winter Proof Cheeks Patch, under the cut!

Hello all!!! Yesterday, I turned 25. I honestly can't believe I made it this far.
I thought I'd share some of the things I bought myself around my birthday this month and some skincare/ makeup items that I hauled!!
This evening, as I back up my laptop so I can send it to HP tech tomorrow (issues with the fan, causing it to make noises), I thought I'd whip up a quick first impressions review on Etude House's Vital Water Special Trial Kit. 🍑🍑🍑🍑
Hello, all! I made an Amazon order of some more AB skincare and makeup products very recently (Aug 6th) and part of it arrived just this week, on Wednesday (Aug 17). I thought I'd share what I bought and kind of...why...?

[Review] Etude House Baby Choux Base (Mint) for pale, Rosacea prone skin 【日本語あり】
11:33 PM
Hello! Today I'm finally reviewing the Etude House Baby Choux Base, in Mint. The tube I have has been a little neglected--it's kind of a hit-and-miss product for me. Long story short: it's a colour correcting base with a grandma powder scent, one that has completely turned me off the base...and I've buried myself in work....so here we are, months later! (I lie...it's almost been a year later!)
I've been charmed at the potential this base could have on my redness as a color-correcting primer base and it's got a cute princess-y feel to it. Let's take a look at how well this Etude House product really works on my redness prone pale ass face.

Etude House originally released the Baby Choux Base in three colours (Peach, Berry, Mint) back in 2013, but was in a cute, but likely unsanitary jar. The product was reintroduced some time after that and is currently sold in tube form--more hygienic, but less product.
I originally purchased last summer? from YouRiShop, off of Amazon, for around USD$12 ( at the time). Service was good, fast and I'd definitely purchase from this seller again (I have many times, since.)

Hello all! This post has been a long in the making as while I was busy with work, I was unsure of my honest thoughts about all four products. But now, I'm here--I'm ready to spit fire!! Here's a post about four AB cleansers that really didn't do it for me and why, and my experiences with each one.
Hello, here's a quick post in time for Sample Sunday! I'm trying to go through my sample stash and being vocal about my thoughts about samples.
Etude House's Moistfull Collagen--looks like watery cum, but works like a charm.
No seriously, ok.
I do recommend snipping the top of the sachet with scissors as opposed to tear where its marked to, as you'll will lose product. The essence is pretty runny, but not as liquid-y as a "lotion" would be. It smells light and it sinks into the face fairly quickly, as long as you pat it in or layer with another product afterwards.
The Moistfull Collagen essence would honestly work better in a more humid climate, or in the spring and summertime. I'm currently in the dregs of winter, in rainy WA and while the sun is trying to come out and play, it's only like 10 or 15 mins at a time.
I will look to try the full size out and offer a better, more in-depth review!

I made the mistake of ordering from TK, around the Thanksgiving/Black Friday period, but I don't regret it.
My order went through relatively quickly, but it felt like AGES until I received it. I ordered November 22nd; the order shipped on November 29th and I just welcomed my beauty-ful box of goodies into my arms, mid-morning on Jan 4th.

Here's my Christmas haul. I basically bought my own presents this year.

I mentioned in my Black Friday haul that I bought this but was waiting to open it at Christmas. I'll be doing a separate unboxing post in the coming days!

[Mini-Review] Etude House Baking Powder BB Deep Cleansing Foam - Samplesize + I ordered the full size bruh

I'm a little late on this review...shh! I got photos and then got stuck in a heavy rut of sleep-eat-work-eat-sleep. But hey, it's money!!! 😀
I got a sample packet of the Etude House BB cleansing Pore Foam with a recent-ish order from the "bae" through Amazon. That's right, JOLSE delivered on the samples!!! I ordered one item: the it's Skin Macron lip balm and received six samples. This is why JOLSE is in fact, our bae! I"m planning a review on the macron lip balm very soon, so stayed tuned! 😀✌️
