Hello, everyone! Are you all getting ready for Christmas?
RoseRoseShop kindly sent me one of Benton's Honest TT Mist, for review purposes. I was so excited as this would be my first sponsored review on this blog! I hadn't had the chance to write about this until recently because...well, work. I wrote notes of my thoughts on my phone on my lunches at work, but hadn't had the chance to take great photos or form my full thoughts.
There's something unexceptionably painful about a rigid routine of "sleep-eat-work" but it is rewarding in the end--to some extent. Really, it's just tiring--like waking up just in time to get ready for work. I say this to say that skincare for me right now is about taking care of myself, with minimal effort for some steps.

Hi everyone! I'm trying my best to write about this as quick as I can, without losing motivation and letting it lapse. As I write this post, I'm re-watching Sherlock Series 2, seeing as Christmas and of course the Christmas special, is just next week! I'm so excited for the Christmas special, and rewatching the earlier episodes is so riveting.
Sephora haul - Part 1
I bought:
-Too Faced Natural Matte palette
- Dr Jart+ Dermaclear Trans-foam Clay (Pink) - 50ml
- Urban Decay all nighter Makeup Setting Spray - 30ml
This would be my first Too Faced palette and I have to say, I'm so excited! I'm hoping that because the eyeshadows are matte, that they will blend nicely and stay on my eyelids..since I have a lot of trouble with shimmer in my eyeshadows.

Here's a quick post of my Sephora mini haul! This order pushed me over and I've been bumped up to VIB status. Cool, right...?

I also used the code "KBEAUTY" to get another mini product with my order (shown in the few couple of pictures). This time, I chose a mini size of Erborian
Pâte au Ginseng Black Concentrated Mask because I've been pretty curious about the mask, but I definitely don't want to fork out $$$ for the full size yet, certainly not without trying it first.
Hello, everyone! 💕 Today is part one of a recent online haul from Sephora.com. 💕💕
I saw in the last few months that I was $88 away from making VIB, and I figured I would push to try to make the new status. After a week (honestly!) of careful deciding and rearranging various items in my cart after some items were out of stock, I finally made a $50 order (before receiving the BI $15 off $50 card in the mail), on December 4th. I received the order in the mail a few days later.

Taiwanese sheet mask brands really seem add in an extra punch to its masks: beyond-cute or aesthetically pleasing packaging, refreshing scents, well fitting masks and plenty of essence (for the long winter). I"ve grown to enjoy MBD masks over Korean brands, and have even ditched my limited box of Lululun masks from Japan, for the time being. Now, I just want to try them all out!
With all this excitement, I was so excited to try out a L'herboflore mask for the first time. The packaging and the interesting ingredients has always caught my eye, but I had noticed the availability of L'herboflore to a foreign (outside of Asia) market was slim-to-none. As now a first-time user of L'herboflore, I have to say that I'm incredibly impressed, and hungry for more--at least my skin is!
There's something so therapeutic about online shopping. Lately, I've been stocking up on some items and thought, why not do another haul post?! Part 1 is here.
I ordered from Amazon on Nov. 9th, from a variety of sellers, and I've received everything about a week to a week and a half later.
- Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask
- COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch
- Holika Holika 99% Aloe Soothing Gel
- Ichikami Herbal Hair Treatment Essence with Rice Bran by Kracie
- Kikumasamune Sake High Moisture Skin Lotion
I'm late on writing this, but there's a reason. I decided I wanted to try out the products first, before slamming them.
Hey guys! I already posed on r/AsianBeauty but my Memebox order with items from all the Black Friday shenanigans came today! Of course, as you read this, it's "yesterday"....!
On Wednesday of last week--the day before Thanksgiving day--I actually made my first Memebox order. I ended up getting the Yeon box (not an aff. link) plus some sheet masks--all of which arrived on Friday? Saturday morning, last week...? I decided that while I could take photos and post a haul, I wanted to wrap it up and put it under the tree for Christmas--since it's so close and all. More about this later...

● MUJI Makeup Facial Soft Cut Cotton Unbleached 60x50 mm 140pcs
(still waiting on KOSE softymo Deep Cleansing Oil Refill)
Hey all! I thought I'd do a quick review of a sample of belif's aqua bomb cream for a late #samplesunday . Prior to this, I had read inklings and rave reviews of mostly the aqua bomb cream, but nothing much else from the line, and I hadn't tried it for myself yet.
But the time is here: I've tried it and I see the light! Granted, it is a hard to judge from a sample packet of the quality of a product and whether you like it...but I'm sure that I'm interested enough that I'd purchase the small size for further, more in-depth review.
The aqua bomb gel-like cream offers a rush of hydration. It smells like a fresh lemon scent but turns to a more chemical smell, into a strong but temporary whiff of cleaning supplies (I'm not sure if I enjoy that, though...). The cream however, hydrated my face in such a noticeable way that I understand why there have been so many rave reviews. I applied this in the car while on my way to work, on a skincare routine-only day. Through a lot of sweating and slight changes in the temperature at work, my face still stayed soft an moisturized, more than it usually is with my regular routine.

Sheet Mask Shenanigans: Skinfood Beauty in a food sheet mask - Jeju Tangerine || スキンフード Beauty in a food mask
1:18 AM
Yo! I decided to deviate from my usual My Beauty Diary sheet mask ventures and go diving into my (growing) sheet mask stash. Tonight is going to be a quick review of one of Skinfood's Beauty in a food masks, in Jeju Tangerine.

First, I want to be frank. Writing the final bits of the previous post this afternoon REALLY made me want to punch something--I'm not an angry person but good GOD! Blogger has REALLY
pissed me off.
I complained on my twitter, but why is this extra HTML necessary?? How did this even come about?

Sheet Mask Shenanigans: Hey! Pinkgo Girl Brightening White Yogurt Lifting Lace Mask // Hey!
3:41 PM
Today, I'm doing a review of the Hey! Pinkgo Girl Brightening White Yogurt Lifting Lace Mask // Hey!蘋果肌女孩優格珍珠透白蕾絲拉提面膜 (wow what a mouthful!!) and I've got to say, wow! This wonderful mask was included in a box of goodies I won and gosh, I'm still so happy! This is probably a milestone in my sheet masking adventures: my first lace mask, and my first foray into Hey! Pinkgo Girl's sheet masks.
After taking of some photos opening the packet, I noticed the pleasant scent and the thick but pretty LACE! The mask was a little heavier than expected because of the lace and not the usual thin, cotton-type of material that masks usually are of., but add in some essence and this unusual type of sheet mask is a hit. I'm a fan and I'm only about to put this on my face!

Hey guys! So as I posted on Instagram, some mail arrived!!!!! I made an order on Amazon very recently (Nov 1) and three of the items arrived earlier this afternoon (Nov 11).
Here's just a few things that Sephora and Ulta should really be doing:
Cut the Asian beauty inspired crap.
I'm pointing the finger at Sephora more or less, with it's "K-beauty skincare", and "Asian Beauty" routines which just seems like a new angle to market mediocre, mid-performance prestige products to consumers.
Instead, both stores should stock actual products from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China and other areas, and market it as "beauty from abroad". It could be products are known but maybe harder to come across online (L'herboflore masks); well known products that might able to be sold in Sephora and Ulta (Etude House, Holika Holika, Peripera, etc) or a mixture. Just a thought: since princes themed brand Too Faced does pretty well, why not add Etude House to the mix?

I caved: I decided to buy the Birchbox "From Korea, With Love" box, primary because...well, K-beauty....? But I'm still very firm on not wanting to resubscribe to the monthly box from Birchbox at this time.
Basically, this curated box had items that I've been...well, lusting after for a while.

Wow. I keep laughing to myself and saying "wow" a lot as I write this...!!!
I entered the lovely leavesofyves / Vanna's giveaway on Instagram about over a week or two ago. I had kind of forgot about it until I checked some notifications and BAM! I won!!! (I'm spacedump on there btw) I literally didn't expect to win at all and I kind of didn't know until some other participants had tagged me in the post, saying "congrats!" that I checked!!!
Wow..... !! I'm still in a funky state of awe and excitement!
Anyway, I received Vanna's package within two or three days of her sending it--honestly, it was so quick!!

Anyway, this month's ipsy bag came my way on October 14th, which was pretty quick! Because of work, I took these two pics, but quickly went to bed.
Hello all! I celebrated my birthday in somewhat style yesterday. I couldn't get the day off of work (I asked well in advance, but oh well...) but I had fun, for the time before I went to work
I took more pics because that's what I enjoy doing, so I might not write too much. I went to Denny's with my parents and had a birthday breakfast. It was so good--the weather was kind of crappy too, so warm food made it so much better.

[Mini-Review] Etude House Baking Powder BB Deep Cleansing Foam - Samplesize + I ordered the full size bruh
1:02 PM
I'm a little late on this review...shh! I got photos and then got stuck in a heavy rut of sleep-eat-work-eat-sleep. But hey, it's money!!! 😀
I got a sample packet of the Etude House BB cleansing Pore Foam with a recent-ish order from the "bae" through Amazon. That's right, JOLSE delivered on the samples!!! I ordered one item: the it's Skin Macron lip balm and received six samples. This is why JOLSE is in fact, our bae! I"m planning a review on the macron lip balm very soon, so stayed tuned! 😀✌️

This seems silly to just write a post about this, but seriously...this was a big thing for me. I finally did my first TesterKorea order!!
I had chosen a fair few items and had them in my cart, hovered around the 35~55 dollar mark and kept going through the menus to see the shipping charges. But due to lack of time (work!!), I hadn't fully went through the order process yet. I wanted to research about the products and go look at other Ab users' reviews for photos, and swatches, etc.
Embarrassing I know, but...I hummed and ha'd over my order for at least three or four weeks (I've lost count now!!) while checking over reviews on products and drooling over others. A good...six or seven of my items went out of stock (a few were re-stocked in the meantime!) I just hadn't had time to truly decide...to the commitment. I feel like the Chandler of AB...
What probably made the process longer: a) there's so many products, b) there's so many products I want to try and c) things kept selling out....
But now I've just sucked it in, and done it! *applause*
RIP to my wallet.....

Hey guys! So today I tagged along with my mum to do some errands after her doctor's appointment. We had lunch and just hung out, and did some shopping.
I had read recently about AB-er's scoring AB in Marshall's, and I have a store nearby--so I thought I'd go check it out. I made a beeline for the skincare while my mum looked at some purses (we boh have our haunts...!) I spotted two boxes of Black Pearl in the skincare area, but as I posted over on the AB subreddit a couple of day ago, I happened to be looking at the tea aisle a little later on and found some extra MBD!!
(excuse my shitty pics, something is up with my iPad...)

Hello all! I'm a little late on posting this as well....how to put it....I've been a little annoyed at Birchbox and the September box. I was and still am pretty unimpressed. Here's some chillingly honest thoughts, and why I cancelled my subscription...

Hey there, everyone! It's been a few days since I last posted, but I'm here with good news! I got some exciting things in the mail yesterday and today.
Going by this lovely pink bubble wrap envelope, you guessed it: it's this month's ispy Glam Bag!!

I was out shopping at the usual places yesterday and stopped into TJ Maxx. I like going in there for skincare items, purses and housewares items that are one-of-a-kind, and often discounted designer items.
Nestled behind some bliss products, I happened to spot some Japanese skincare!! I found not one, but two jars of BCL's Collage Rose Aroma Moist Face Mask for 12.99 USD ea.
Finding Japanese skincare in the US (and not being up in Seattle, or at a Daiso, or any kind of Asian market with a cosmetics) is kind of rare. You will find Shiseido products from time to time at TJ Maxx, but actually with Japanese packaging?!?! not so much.
With all this sudden excitement, I whipped out my phone and threw the katakana name into Google to see how much it might be elsewhere, and to scour the web for a some quick reviews. At the time, Amazon showed it for about 18.49USD and a few reviews detailed the face mask as being a pretty moisturizing mask and having a fresh rose scent.
I haven't had the chance to use any BCL products, but my time has now come to try out the cult line!
I was sold, so I ended up buying both jars. The thing with TJ Maxx is items go fast: if you something you think you'd like, you should buy more than one because likely if you come back later or on another day, it'll be gone. And to date, that's the first time I had seen any Japanese skincare items there.
I also wandered over to the spa/skincare area, next to the perfume and spotted a small selection of sheet masks. Most where off-brand US branded masks, but there were a few definite Korean sheet masks there.
I settled on a pack of 5 of CREME shop's collagen sheet masks.

Hello, all!! I've been pretty busy with work (and also buying things on Amazon, ahaha!)
I'm obviously a little late blogging about this, but in addition to ipsy, I also recently subscribed to Birchbox, and I just received my August box yesterday morning, before work (along with some other very exciting things!)

Hello all!
On my day off yesterday, I decided to do a bit of shopping. My local mall is pretty small and not that exciting or very nice, so I ended up going on a short drive and going to a much bigger mall, a few towns away.
I did a bit of damage but the important thing was I had fun.

Hi there! I'm a American with a budding love for Korean cosmetics. I'm here to share my beauty journey with you!
I have normal to dry skin and mild rosacea, and I'm blessed with the pale princess genes too, so finding products that don't aggravate redness, dry out my skin or match my pale skin tone is a struggle. I've found it hard to find reviews on Western and Asian cosmetics that suit BOTH dry skin and skin with rosacea so I've decided to become one of those people, to be of help to anyone like me.
