Hello, all!
Japan Pack is a newer service that currently offers a selection of Japanese sheet masks, ranging from $8.50 up to $25, depending on your masking needs. Recently, Japan Pack, run by Nicole (gliterintokyo) kindly DM'd me on the 'gram and offered to send a Sampler Pack, in exchange for review. I happily accepted, knowing that Japanese masks are hard to come by.
I received the Sampler Package, containing one multi pack mask set, two mask and three "point" mask packs (for eyes, lips or cheeks) plus an information card with details of each product, in English--great if your Japanese skills aren't up to par (mine are pretty good!). This package runs at USD$15.00 and as with other mask sets offered, the masks can be tailored to your desired skin type.

Precious Times Argan Oil Face Mask is complete new to me. I don't have much experience with argan oil besides on my hair, but not yet on my face! Really hoping this goes well~!
Across the Japanese side of Instagram and of course @cosme, I've spotted Minon products, particularly the skin conditioner and masks. Sheet masks are always good foray into a brand's line, and this was just great timing! The amino acids will be a treat for my dry skin.
I've used Lululun masks before but I haven't tried any of the "plus" line (presumably with fancy "premium" ingredients ww) until now, so I'll probably be reviewing this seaweed-based mask soon.
Earlier this year, I reviewed this exact Choosy lip pack (contains an aff link). Honestly, I'm happy to have another one, welcomed into my stash since I've found that these patches are little hard to come by, unless ordered online or magically found in store, for a higher price.
I'm not familiar with the other brand off hand but the packaging does seem...familiar...from a past 'Wajji's trip. With flower oil extracts, this 7-mask pack is supposed to provide moisture to the skin, while eliminating the need for multiple routine steps by helping to simplify your skincare routine! This would honestly be great during finals, traveling, the holiday season at work or anytime when time is sacred!
While I'm aware of Paul & Joe's adorable and rather expensive makeup line, I've never taken the plunge of any of the brand's products. Nada. I'm a novice. It's just not really affordable for me.....but maybe, one day....! The oil is recommended as a body and facial oil and can be massaged into the skin for best results, post-cleansing.
I might give my boyfriend the Biore nose strip as he has more visible pores (and oilier skin!!!!!) but I'm definitely far more curious about the Biore eye pack, and am wholeheartedly planning to post about it on my Instagram!!!
A while back, I made a video about Megrhythm steam eye masks, but basically you unwrap them and feel the mask heat your eyes for approx. 20 mins at a time. Recommended for tired eyes when studying or working hard, Kao's Megrhythm is a unique sensation on the eyes and helps relieve pressure in the eye area during stressful times. I've tried the Lavender type but I'm excited to try out the yuzu (citrus) type!
I'm not familar with this brand whatsoever but the grape picture is cute and the idea of sparkling cocktail scented bath salts making my booty smelling nice really warms my water! 🍇🍇 In all seriousness, I'm ready for a bath and since winter is officially here (it snowed today), it's now time for warm things, like baths!
thoughts
This new sheet mask service is best for folks just starting out in skincare, or specifically Japanese skincare, who may have limited Japanese language skills and are unsure/unaware of brands. I would like to see the ability to purchase individual masks, much like Beauteque and similar sites, for folks who may only want one mask, or multiples of the same set (but can't necessarily order off of Amazon or eBay).
Simply, as long as the range of masks is varied between new, popular and indie/obscure brands and in a random set, I could see myself regularly ordering from Japan Pack--once my stash is depleted.
Give Japan Pack some love on social media, and check them out!
Good night!
Time for the skincare routine~~~!

This is (yet another) collective empties post, both AB and "western: products--both skincare and makeup items. Enjoy some short thoughts before I empty the Sephora bag under my desk in the recycling bin!
Bring out the purple background...because it's time for Trash Talk!
I received this box in exchange for a review, after being selected among 30 other bloggers, via PinkSeoul's Instagram. About two weeks ago, the box finally came in the mail and I was a very happy camper! Life happened, so here we are. Sorry for the delay!

Sheet Mask Shenanigans: Pure Smile Peach Miilk Essence Mask vs.Tony Moly I'm Real Peach Vitalizing Mask Sheet
12:58 AM
Hello all!
I posted a quick comparison review on my Instagram on both of these masks, so here's a longer, more in-depth chuck of text. I wanted to compare how peachy Pure Smile's mask was to the newly released Tony Moly mask, and be aware of any differences--just for fun.

REVIEW: A'pieu Air Fit Cushion Bboyan - No.13 Apricot (FIRST IMPRESSIONS + SWATCHES & DEMO)
12:00 AM
Hello! I previously did a very in-depth review of A'pieu's Air Fit Cushion, in the Pposong type. I enjoyed the cushion for the most part but wanted to try the Bboyan version at least once, just to see how the finish would be for my pale skin, and how the two may contrast. I also ended up filming a concept video, just for giggles (link is further in the post).
Hello!! I went down south to Portland last week, on a short day trip, for a thing. Afterwards, between getting food and staying cool in near-triple digit weather, I managed to by stop some usual shopping haunts.
It's recycling week, so it's time for another round of Trash Talk, where I go through that Sephora bag under my makeup desk! This is a collective mix of empties, of skincare, makeup and hair products.

Hello all! Recently, when I saw that Tony Moly was releasing the first round of new masks (Rose and Cactus) on their USA account, via Instagram stories, I was poised, ready to try them. As always, my local ULTA was slow was asses and only got them much after the fact. I suspect this may the same for the other newer masks (that tea one, charcoal, honey, peach, etc), that are seemingly currently a macys.com only "exclusive" or from Tony Moly USA's website.
By sheer luck, I spotted a couple of the Rose masks (no cactus....) and bought one for $3.75. A bit pricey.....but that means it's time for a review!

REVIEW: Holika Holika x Gudetama Lazy & Joy Cupcake Eyeshadow Palette - 01 Red Velvet (FIRST IMPRESSIONS, SWATCHES & QUICK DEMO)
12:41 AM
Hello all!
I've been high key lusting over this mini quad palette since its release late last 2016, but the prices were steadily hovering around $12 to $16 on eBay. I scored recently as I noticed some sellers that I usually order from had lowered the prices--I bought this for around $8, which is much, much closer to Korean prices!
This is the cutest palette in my collection, hands down.

While up in Seattle yesterday, I also went to Daiso. The last time I went to Daiso was when I had went to San Fran last summer, but that was a smaller store and (of course) not in my area. Since my closest store is a good 1hr drive away, the last I had been up that way was...a good two or three years!
I'm not kidding; I just prefer going south and hitting up Uwajimaya down there, whenever I'm there.
Basically, I had been eyeing some items for a long while but just...didn't...get to a store....lol....but now, I've went to two and have gotten more than enough of a fix.

Hello! I've been a good adult and been diligently saving my money. I've left my bank account be basically at a standstill throughout much of this month until my car payment came out on the 10th (so I'd for sure have enough $$) and insurance, yesterday, even though I've been in turn, using my credit card more food purchases. I've been good!
Yesterday, I went on a short, unexpected trip up north, to Seattle. I drove and mainly went for the driving practice (that was my first time of ME driving to Seattle) and also that I haven't been up there for almost two years, so I figured why not. In retrospect, I do prefer the roads south, towards Portland and will probably not do a drive north again for a long while--too much stress. Unless, there's a meetup....but, just...no.
Anyway, I did spend a little more than I anticipated but my plan was to buy a couple of products for my body, to expand/start a routine for the rest of my body. I am also going on a no-buy until I use up more products, probably until October, and will be increasing the reviews on here again.

It's that time again where I chat about my recent sheet mask empties, in another installment of Trash Talk. Here's my collected sheet mask #empties from over the last two months. Let's go!!!

I posted on my Instagram yesterday about trying out DHC's ever popular medicated lip cream. Luckily, I found a Japan-based seller on eBay, one who wasn't overpriced. I paid at around the $8 mark, so I was super pleased (these are hard to find under $10 online, usually found around $13 or higher) to try this out, finally!
Basically, I wanted two things to come: to find a lip balm type of product to properly hydrate my lips for a longer duration of time (without getting that gross feeling) and of course, to see the hype for myself, so here we are.

Sheet Mask Shenanigans: Honey - P A R T O N E ( + Royal Jelly, Propolis, Bee Venom) (Various Brands)
12:11 PM
For this time of Sheet Mask Shenanigans, I'm focusing on a handful of masks from different brands that contains honey as a main ingredient, in one big ol' mega review. I'm also extending this to royal jelly, propolis and bee venom, just for review purposes (I'm trying to get through more of my stash!).
Also, I've taken the time to review these masks over about two weeks, not all in one sitting. One mask, as highlighted in red text was received for free via 0.8L, in exchange for an honest review. I've already completed the review but thought I would included it in this honey themed post!

Hello! Here's a collective haul of beauty items that I've recently bought or got in the mail.
ebay
Y'know, provided that you do research beforehand, I've found that eBay is the BEST for buying Korean skincare and makeup. The sellers thus far are super reliable, affordable and safe; most times, the items arrived long before the expected arrive date and often unexpectedly include a couple of samples.
I've been eyeing this lovely Tony Moly Red Appletox Cream for a long while, as I posed on my Instagram recently. A first impressions review is coming up!
colourpop
My Colourpop order came in fairly recently. I ordered three pressed shadows (Making Moves, Secrets, Cut outs) during their buy 2, get the third free event with also no minimum free shipping, but only two of the shadows arrived.
I contacted Colourpop and they've very kindly sent out the missing one, so I should be expecting it in the mail soon.
skin18.com
This is the first mask I've received for review purposes as part of Skin18's blogger program. I have no thoughts yet but I'll be reviewing this mask very soon over on my Instagram, so keep a look out.

I drove to Tacoma last week, mostly for highway driving practice and to test out my cruise control. Yes, I got a car a couple of weeks ago--a new car--so I've been driving myself to and from work, with a couple of outings here and there. I've stayed mostly local, but Tacoma was my first long drive; it's about a 40 mins drive away.
cost plus world market
I know right, what a surprise?! I've not seen any masks at my local store but since Tacoma and surrounding areas have a higher percentage of Koreans, there's bound to be some extra goodies in unexpectedly places.
I bought some Bundaburg drinks but at the checkout, spotted a small selection of It's Skin sheet masks. I choose the Honey type primarily so I could include it in an upcoming mega review as a bonus that is honey themed--I promise, I'm almost done with it!.
sephora
Of course, since I stopped by the mall I did go into Sephora. I prefer the stand alone Sephora stores over the smaller kiosk type that's inside JCP, mostly that the stand alone offers more selection--K-Beauty! Still, I rely on buying online just to keep costs down but I enjoy swatching in store when I can. I was able to test Son & Park's Beauty Water (meh) and a couple of other things
I almost didn't buy anything until I spotted the Amore Pacific Color Control Cushion in the dangerous area, right before the checkout. Luckily, the palest shade was there (104 Light Medium (Pink)) so I'm hoping to do a first impression review and/or a video. I just love cushions!
I'm not ready to open it so it's staying in the box for now.
h-mart
On the way home, I decided to stop by H-Mart since I hadn't been there for a good year (seriously!!!!). I bought mostly food so the only skincare items were these two sheetmasks from Entel, on sale at .79 ea.
bae's skincare
Across from H-Mart, in the same strip-mall area is Bae's Skincare. The stores carries a lot of Tony Moly, Peripera, O Hui, some Sulwhasoo and a couple of other brands, but only a few items of each---not like multiple lines from each brand. I've been only one other time but it's definitely been a while! I stopped with with no intentions of buying anything (was hoping to maybe find Tony Moly's Peach Sherbet Cleansing Balm, since I saw it there before but didn't know I wanted it...sob.....) but I found a very nice deal!
I've been lusting over Dearpacker's masks on the 'gram, but haven't wanted to buy them as they're usually expensive on Amazon. Surprisingly, these were well within expiry date and were on sale for $1 ea. (the hydrogel was $3), with a deal running: buy 10, get 3 free. Score!
I bought:
The shop ladies were so sweet so one gave a couple sample of some O HUI products. I wish I knew more Korean--the most I could manage was the usual 안녕하세요~ and 감사합니다 but for now, that's about it. I did understand the "what can I help you find today" but I forget how to say it now, aahaha....!
Just wishing I had bought that peach sherbet cleansing balm before now, since now it's even harder to find online.... :~(
ulta
I didn't really go into ULTA with intentions of buying anything either but I decided to use the coupon and pick up a couple things. The aloe gel is for my body and also to compare with the Holika Holika aloe gel. I also had a coupon in my email for a free Julep lip gloss but since they were out of stock, the cashier gave me an ABH one instead (not really sure what shade yet).
forever21
I bought a cute floral dress (to wear probably on a date) and some cute heart earrings but I also picked up these two masks, primarily for review.

You know what time it is: the Sephora bag under my makeup table is full, so it's time for another installment of Trash Talk, where I talk briefly about recent empties.

kikumasamune
【日本語あり】 REVIEW: Kikumasamune Skin Care Lotion (Regular/White) vs. Kikumasamune Skin Care Lotion (High Moist/Pink) - (contains aff links)
12:43 PM
Sake powerhouse Kikumasamune has been in the brewing business since its founding in 1659, with a long-standing dedication to their trade. The brand also have been the lead sake maker in Japan for some 350 years, up until 2009. Generally, Kikumasamune typically only uses water and kome-koji (malted rice) as main ingredients to help achieve the classic signature smooth, dry taste. Taking this approach from the brand's sake brewing to it's recently foray into cosmetics in the past decade or so, Kikumasamune takes the fermented goodness in its sake and happy lets you drink (!!!) the benefits, on your face.
Containing actual Kikumasamune branded fermented sake, this line of hydrating skin care lotion is definitely one to consider incorporating into a skincare routine--don't drink this, of course!. The hydrating toner provides moisture to the skin, fresh after cleansing, while helping to create a canvas.
This review has been a long time coming: I recently bought the normal Kikumasamune version and have been using it enough that I can accurately compare this to the "high moist" version, in the pink bottle. Also, it's taken me a good year and a half to get through my first and only bottle of the high moist--bear with me!
Also, since many have complained to various levels about the lack of English translations of the bottle and ingredients, I'm here to give extra presents.
Hello!!!!! I figured it was time to finally do a review of Pure Smile's popular CHOOSY Lip Patches. I have a couple in my stash, but this quick review will be about the honey "flavour".

Hello! I did some very unexpected beauty shopping recently, so here's an impromptu haul of recently items I've purchased, from a couple of different places.
u l t aI didn't plan to go to ULTA at all, but I was on that side of town yesterday. I had a coupon in my email for a free stila liquid lipstick, with any purchase.
Generally, I look at NYX products first, then take a look at my store's K-beauty area. This is the current setup:
I've struggled to write (and finish!!!) this so this post has been sitting in my drafts for more than six or seven months. Sorry, Snesus...! Recently, I got some belif samples in the mail and thought it was time to pull this out and finish it (while watching an Instagram live lol).
So, here is me....finally....pulling this review out of my drafts....!
So, here is me....finally....pulling this review out of my drafts....!
This will be a quick post, but I wanted to share something that came in the mail...and a little dose of (gross) #bblogger reality!
Rather loosely but the inspiration for these concept photos I've taken was actually the chill mood of Lorde's Tennis Court and the bright neon colour of a tennis ball. Also, despite the continued gloom, spring is trying to make a grand appearance in my area.
Hello!!!! I posted on my Instagram of my haul from Uwajimaya, and thought I'd give a more detailed haul post (and why!). Since a fair share of my stash is Korean, I wanted to try out some more Japanese products, to balance that out.
First, I've been on a very low-buy for a couple of months, so I thought I'd treat myself to couple of things, most of which I plan to review on here/IG. I've only been buying food and very minimal beauty purchases (I ordered replacement puffs for my cushion because my original one is NASTY lol) and pushing my money straight into my savings. I'm still working towards a car and I have close to 5k now.
My dad had a work commitment so I tagged along and headed down south.

Typically, I only get to a local Wajis...maybe....three or four times a year? So whenever I, go usually buy skincare items, snacks and drinks, since these items last longer than perishables. The last time I was here...was probably October or so, last year (even though I went to PDX in January of this year, I didn't stop by Uwajimaya).
I do find pricing to be mostly expensive. On some items, it can be cheaper or about the same price when factoring in shipping--you really need to know your prices and/or be armed with your phone and some quick Googling skills. My favourite part is that each time I'm there, I generally see different products or sometimes, hard to find items!
Hello! It's time to dig around in the (overflowing) Sephora bag underneath my desk, and talk about some products that I don't like or don't really care for.

Very recently, this cute af Etude House lipstick that I ordered from eBay came in the mail and my first instinct was to take photos and swatch!

- tony moly i'm real pomegranate mask sheet (elasticity)

A Very Honest™ First Impressions Review: Amore Pacific x Sephora Beauty Insider 500 Point Reward Box
6:45 PM
After hoarding my Sephora BI points for ages, I finally spent some points on the curated box back at the end of 2017. The box contains four sample sized items and is my first try at Amore Pacific products--my thoughts are that of complete n00b.
I've now had this box for about a little while, and have been using the products off and on, as a foray into Amore Pacific's products. Now, I can give accurate, well-rounded opinions, beyond "Yeah, s'alright"or "meh", which would be: it's just, ok. I enjoyed the box but across the board, it's not for me.

Yesterday, I did some minor beauty shopping locally and very unexpectedly, picked up some a few items. I'm planning to test out each of these items individually on here, or over on my Instagram.

Target currently has a deal running where when you receive a $10 gift card with any Laneige purchase, until March 18th, 2017. I did another deal with some pads, and got a an additional $5 gift card. I split some of my purchases, got a $10 gift card from the mask and ended up saving $15 on the cushion, with a second $10 generated from the cushion. I'm only a casual couponer but this was honestly the best deal I've done in a while, tbh!
